If the zig zags on the engines are for noise reduction, then I can imagine that one day those will become soooooo quite, the pilots are gonna be wondering for hours why the hell the engines aren't turning on when they're already on.

How come you can remember that when I can't remember with any accuracy, how long.........

For me, its easy Doug,....I was on my first ever flight, and on that one, they made me a member of the Junior Jet Club, complete with log book ......the entry showed the time (10 1/2 hrs) and the 3300 statute miles which we flew on the great circle route which overflew the tip of Greenland........
