I know that, you know that, everyone knows it but the people at the top & they make the rules. It's the same in almost every big business you can think of, including the nationalised ones. ::)

Of course, the simple fact is, would you fire yourself if you were earning a ton of money? even worse, if the airline goes down its these guys who get a huge payout, while the real workers are forced to look for a job while loosing all seniority. Oh the fickled world of airlines.

Unfortunately it's not just the airlines Craig.

I know but at the moment, they seem to be the ones getting the most attention. That or i am oblivious to other happenings. Wouldn't be the first time ::) ;D

The NHS springs to mind. I can give you plenty more examples if you wish.

I'm sure you don't mean that. Most big organisations are top-heavy with useless middle-management & a shortage of skilled staff at the sharp end. Anything run by the government or a committee is usually the worst. It's an interesting discussion but we seem to have taken over this thread. Maybe we'd better stop here before I say something I shouldn't. Perhaps I already have. ::) ;)

Airline food is hardly gourmet quality but in my experience it's generally not as bad as it's made out to be.

I have found that JAL and Asiana serve WONDERFUL food.   Sushi at 35,000.   ;)

Air Canada on the other hand....................

best,

Let's give a more concrete example

Situation: You fly longhaul, carrier main food is european, but they somehow misjudged the amount, so you can choose between kosher and halal, which one would you take
Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and [url=http://an24.uw.hu/]An-24RV[/ur

This can be true, they will also try to add a little extra, spice or salt or pepper, to give it some more taste. Remember the reason airline food tends to taste off is because you loose alot of your tastebuds at altitude.
