Among some old songs I heard when I was very young was one called In the Fuhrer's Face. I thought it was In the  Furry Face ::). I don't think I knew much about Hitler then but, mustache considered, it was sort of appropriate. 8)

Well I guess one of the things I do miss is the Friday nights in the mess when I was still in the Royal Canadian Air Force.

It seemed every mess had a piano or organ with members that had their own musical instruments and what a time we had.

Different lyrics were added over the years to almost any song soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines sang :)

Yes the comradery and friendship last a lifetime and I wouldn't have traded that for all the flying time in the world.

I guess one of the things my father and mother brought back to Canada after WW2 was the same as my grandparents brought home after WW1.
The whole family would gather around the kitchen table on a Friday or Saturday night
