Can somebody explain to me what Gas Oil is. I travel around a fair bit but must confess to not seeing that before.  ???

Its LPG as far as i know..

they have finally leved off at $3.15-$3.20 suburbs, $3.45-$3.60 city. now im hearing this is a bargain compared to other states, but i dont feel better for it.

I saw one experiment on topgear the other day. They drove around on vegtable oil, like sunflower oil. (don't know if that's how you call it... we do )
The guy actually got his (used!!!) oil from a mexican restaurant, because that would gice the highest performance. best of all: you don't need to modify your car in any way. Just mix in a little terpentine or sumtin.
Now don't ya'll go running for vegtable oil! I'm not sure of what to mix it with and I don't know in what proportions to mix it and I don't know in what type of cars it works (gasoline or patrol or is that the same thing?)
So don't blame me if your car turns into a sunflower  ;D

gasoline is petrol, just depends on where you live.

and be careful, it seems that there are 4.2 liters (litres, w/e) to a gallon. so if i understand correctly, you are instead of paying $3.20 for a gallon, your paying like $6-7 for a liter. so if i calculated this correctly, my car which cost $43 to fill ($3.19), and 15 gallons = 63 liters, at $6.10 a liter,

Yes, it only applies to diesel. You don't have to modify the vehicle, but you get the best results if you have a fuel tank heater because the oil is at its optimum thickness when its at something like 95*F. Also you're better off to have two tanks- on with regular diesel fuel, the other with your oil. You switch it over to the diesel a few minutes before you shut it down so that you don't get cold, thick oil built up the fuel lines. I've done my research, and I am very seriously considering getting a diesel vehicle. The only problem is that here in the US, nearly all diesels are huge pick-up trucks.

why are you confused?
He gave the number of gallons he filled up his car with. that was 15 gallons. Using an online converter it gave me a conversion of 12.5 gallons UK system. Using the AA's website they state currently petrol is an average of
