That's the thing about TO-I mean, I watched every Eagles game last year, and let me tell you, this guy OWNS the league right now.  90% of the time, when he touches the ball, he's basically gauranteed to make at least two guys miss.  If you just put it up there, chances were more than likely he'd come down with it too-the ultimate go-to reciever.  What made the Eagles so dangerous wasn't just TO though-it was BRian Westbrook and Donovan Mcnabb there to beef up the depth, not to mention a greta defense.

However, it was still not unexpected when Andy refused to negotiate a new contract-TO should've seen that coming.

TO doesnt deserve a new contract, he's good and dont get me wrong worth alot more than he is earning to some teams. But simple fact is, he is only 1 year into his contract, If he doesnt like it he shouldn't have signed the one he did last year. Its not like he will go broke if he sticks with it. One columnist who i usually think is completely up the patriots backside too often actually wrote something very interesting. After watching Dan Marinos speach at the hall of fame and realising he played the game for the love of it rather than the money. How will some of todays players truely be remembered if they ever come up for the hall. Guys like TO the thing that seperates a guy like TO from a guy like Marino is class. Dan was all about the team all about being one of the guys. TO is all about himself first and how much money he can make, as is randy moss. In todays game there are few players who can really be remembered the way guys like Dan Marino is and i think one of the few left playing is Jerry Rice.

Absolutely Craig-the skill of the players in the league will never change, they will always be first rate, but it's how they handle themselves that has changed, and not necissarily for the better. ::)

Fair enough i know its not a new thing, as yes even god himself John Elway didn't play for his drafted team, but all he wanted was a change of team, not a huge money increase.

I don't know if thats a fair thing to say though.  John Elway was the #1 pick in the draft so it was pretty much known what he was going to make-a little more than the previous year's #1 pick.  A lot of the time the #1 pick gets signed rather quickly for that reason, its the later picks (#2-10 usually) that hold out for a long time.  Elway did what Eli Manning did.

But, if all the rookies got paid the same, there would be nothing good about being a 1st round pick.  I  don't like the idea that they are holding out, but since they aren't under contract thats their right.

As far as T.O. goes, I can't stand what he is doing.  As far as I'm concerned, the Eagles should have him arrested for breaching a legal contract.

Isn't being known as the 1st pick good enough really? in the end the NFL has now become a world wide phenominon, yet i can guarentee you outside of north america few people know who half of these college rookies are. All they hear about is these guys being rookies and holding out. It doesnt help the NFL's image. And i really dont see why it would be so bad if they all had to start with a league set minimum. Theres nothing to stop them going out and getting a deal with Nike or reebok or whoever else they want to, that then can be where their draft stats come in. Simply because we dont usually see too many commercials for those companies with american stars simply because we have our own who sell more. The game of football will quickly become what the NHL is now if something isn't done. There are ways round the salary cap issues. Or if your the Colts you sign Peyton and hope the others round him take a huge cut. ::) lol ;D Sorry Bman

It's deffinately not being a team player, but most of these guys aren't "team players" which is actually kind of sad.
+1, that's why us colt fans are lucky, most of our rookies have signed their contracts, guess that's why its good to have late round picks ;)

Only because they knew whatever money they were offered was the best they could get. Mannings contract eats up so much of their salary cap that, you have the option, play with him for less or go elsewhere if you want more money.

Pretty funny read.
Some comments that cracked me up.
"Also failing to meet certain hate requirements are the Arizona Cardinals, who merely serve as proof that Sun Devil Stadium is home to a pair of teams incapable of winning the Pac-10"

On the Broncos and Shanahan only just missing the list. Even i find this hillarious
"He also traded for a punter who may be a candidate for a roughing-the-kick-blocker penalty, and used a third-round pick to select the notorious Maurice Clarett. It should be noted that Clarett recently proved he's actually fast enough to pull a groin."

"Under Mike's watch, the 2004 Rams had a turnover ratio of minus-24; that's just a bit worse than the employee roster at any self-respecting convenience store"

And the winner for greatest line in a column?
"In case you missed it, Joe said Cowboys fans were the ugliest people on the planet.
Then he said it was a joke.
Gibbs does this every year.
Last year's joke was installing Mark Brunell as his starting quarterback"  ;D

Good one from the Packers:) And Drew Brees stats seem to suggest he looked awful ;D
Antei your 0-1 as this is a new week, also to avoid confusion wait untill the end of the week to add up your scores. It caused us a few problems last year with mixed up scores.  ;) I dont mind either way just is a little easier.
