Now I know Germany is going through high unemployment at the moment, but this isn't the usual.
It's because the government (social and green) crawled into the butts of big companies on the one hand (bad) and tried to improve the environmental situation by creating new taxes and regulations. Neat idea, but at the wrong time.
It doesn't work and everything suffers.
You call living by lower standards suffering?
Bad inefficiency and a lower GDP output.

...and within a decade the country starts to decline.
It starts to decline when the economy of other, capitalist countries declines,too.
After 20 years it is turning into a poor country with poor people.
Poor by capitalist standards.
