When Star Trek and the voyages of the Starship Enterprise next grace television screens we ask that you remember the following:
- The theme music already exists. Variations are acceptable, but the classic theme by Jerry Goldsmith shall remain. Happy, fluffy songs...no matter how good, need not apply.
- Challenge us mentally. Action is nice...but Star Trek is about hope. We actually like it when you show us that we are not ready to found the United Federation of Planets...it makes us want to correct the shortcomings so that we are ready when the time comes.
- In place of the aforementioned theme song you SHALL include the following opening monologue, to be spoken by the actor portraying the Captain of Enterprise:
Space,
the Final Frontier.
These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise. Her continuing mission:
To Explore strange new worlds.
To seek out new life and new civilizations.
To boldy go where no man has gone before.
