there was sound but it was to "crackly"to be a normal airliner but im not sure if it was from the thing in the photos may have just been some other thing makeing the noise

Looks like a cloud to me. The wind at ground level is almost always doing different things compared to the wind up at altitude which would explain why it was going against the wind.

Other than that, Felix's explanation is as good as they get.

hi

no way was it a cloud and i don't tink it was an airliner i zoomed in on it 65X with a spotting scope and the trail was comeing straight form the object not like a contrail which starts about 5-10 meters from the engine

TacitBlue i don't understand what you mean by "from one horison to the other" a thought the horizon was just one flat line? ???

this distence took about 25-35 seconds. an airliner normally takes just under a min

The "Aurora" has what is basically a pulse/ram-jet poweplant that would produce the "crackly" sound (note that the pulse jet was what the V-1 used, which also had a "crackly sound").  A lot of development has also been made of body shapes to minimize the shockwave effect as the body goes at supersonic speeds....
