Although there are exceptions I have to agree there Paul. I haven't seen this "Blue Planet" but am I the only person to think that the award-winning "Walking with Dinosaurs" was a load of expensive rubbish? ::)

I have to agree "Walking with Dinosaurs" was a flop as far as  I was concerned. However the BBC is still top of the pile when it comes to factual wildlife documentary. They push the boundarys and make landmark series such as "The Blue Planet" 6 years in the making,  outstanding underwater footage of, in many cases, never before observed animal behaviour. Well worth the licence fee in itself. They also produce some of the best Drama series.
I'm not an advocate of watching TV for the sake of it  but there are exceptions that I will go out of my way to watch, or video if there is no avoiding missing the original showing.

I for one will be looking forward to "Planet Earth" which isn't due to show till 2006.

In that case I'll look out for it. The BBC was always good at this sort of thing. Channel 4 has its moments too. I hope they don't use any of these MTV-style editing techniques that seem all the rage these days. :o What happened to the good old-fashioned camera panning that actually gives you time to see what you're looking at? They must be designed for people with the attention span of a goldfish. I find the continually switching views usually gives me a migraine in a few minutes & refuse to watch programs featuring them. Many otherwise excellent documentaries are ruined by this latest fad. I hope it's just a fad anyway. They certainly won't last as long as some of the classic documentaries filmed using traditional methods.

The rare exception recently was the TV program visiting the planets in the Solar system, ( I forgot what it was called).
Too much background "music", as usual, but it did illustrate the deadly dangers of venturing outside of our protective atmospheric layer as a warning to all the gullible "Star Trek" space explorers out there... ;)...!

If you want to live to a ripe old age, avoiding the effects of Solar radiation, spend your time firmly planted on Mother Earth... ;)... ;D....!
...trust me...!

LOL...!

Cheers all...!

Paul....sat before his radiation producing monitor... :'(...  ;D...!

A new, regular program, showing the slow decomposition of a human corpse over a period of time.

The program will be followed by a regular documentary filming couples sexual copulation and discussing various faults in their behavior which may lead to their disappointment.
