Nahhhh... I don't like the EU anyway. More tax than services! I'm sure Paul won't let me forget this for a while!

Cor blimey, Dan...!
Fantastic to see you back again... ;D....!
(You are the only Welsh inhabitant on the Forum I know)... ;)...!
For one awful moment I thought you had disappeared without trace, burried beneath an extension of the Irish Sea... :'(....!

Wales is OK....it keeps all those strong westerly winds off me, and the mountains ensure that the rain falls out before it reaches West Mercia... 8)...!
...So it's nice to know that it's still there... ;D...!

Cheers Dan...!
...keep a small sailing boat handy, just in case it happens again... ;)...!
LOL...!

The AA (Automobile Association) for the uninitiated ...did a similar thing a few years ago ........ They left the largest body of water on mainland UK off their biggest selling road map. Loch Lomond was left off and it was only realised after the maps went on sale. All the roads and features around it were there ........ just no loch.

So if any UK member finds/has one then keep it cos it'll be a collectors item ...... they were recalled very quickly so only a few hundered were sold.

cheers

I doubt it. You don't need an A Level in law to realise what they're up to. As I said before, us old fogies might be confused but we ain't daft. If I told you what I & most ordinary people think about it I would be banned from this forum. :-X ;)

Hey, I never said u were daft! ::) Whatever you would say about the EU I would probably agree with. But like the wise old owl, I'll keep quiet!
But most ordinary people don't understand - or we'd be out of the EU - and that's the point.

The European laws that we get handed, are not even done in a democratic way. Fact. MEPs are the middle part of the governing body. You have first: the European Commision, then the MEPs that got voted in and then the Counsel. The Commission is totally undemocratic. But can be forced to resign by a majority from the MPs. The Counsel is just a selection of MPs again, not chosen by the people, but chosen by themselves.
How it works is, The commission suggests and puts forward what it thinks is appropriate and then the MPs debate it. They don't decide though - The counsel does.

Ben :)

Sorry Ben. I wasn't getting at you. By using myself as an example I meant that the vast majority of the British public isn't as stupid as the politicians seem to think. They DO understand only too well. Just ask my neighbours or anyone in my local cafe. The problem is that the way things are there's nothing they or anyone else can do about it.

PS. I was trying to make my point without getting too political. Maybe I shouldn't have posted this topic in the first place. It's best to stick to the forum rules & avoid political issues altogether.

'tis a scandalous Plot, I say, to slur the UK as a whole.  The Eurocrats purposely left Wales out, as their way of saying that Prince Charles is Prince of NOTHING!, and thereby stating the Future King is King of Nothing!

Now, if they'd left Shoreham off, that would really be  a Gross Insult and Justificable Cause for War!
