Actually, that is pretty cheap compared to others.  I know that NoNodes charges $30.00.  I'm not too sure about the rest.  Without trying to put pressure on you, affording something is a matter of how bad you want it.  Even in my worst days in college (when I ate Ramen for a week straight) 20 dollars per year wasn't too bad.

But Hagar, Pete is quite right and I agree with him. Saying 'Saitek read this', pointing out what I have reading over an over again for months now trying to figure out what it means, is ridiculous as u have just read what I have read on this thread.

Its not a question of having the money or not. It's a question of how to get the money to pete. At most us 16 year olds will only have a savers account, so no credit cards, check books nothing. No way to send pete the money.

The way I read it this means that you can continue to use the site as you do now. If you can't afford the membership there's no obligation to pay.

No, Hagar had the right of it.  As soon as someone mentions money, some people automatically start crying poor.  Unless you live in an underdeveloped country somewhere, $20.00 is not that much.  You high school kids probably spend that much on worthless stuff in a week.  I don't know a parent alive who wouldn't be thrilled to hear their kid come to them and say 'Mom, I want to earn some money for this, can I do x amount of chores for it?'

Pete has worked long and hard keeping this site free while others have gone pay.  But the second he mentions helping out from those who have gotten so much for free, he gets this.  You should be ashamed.  Add to that, the fact that he is doing it with no loss of service to the free users, and it's doubly bad...  >:(

I agree with Kevin.  We have been getting free stuff from here for a very long time.  Bandwidth for this costs a huge amount of cash and there can be only one person who is paying for it.  Time to level the score sheet a bit I feel.
