I really really want to find a job where I can help people in need I can't go on jsut thinking of myself in life forever.
I was just trying to put it into perspective for you.

I can't be bothered with this.
Ya know what, either can I for that matter. In the future I'll spare any kind words, and MY valuable time for my daughter. I was merely saying that People in general tend to watch TV and form a picture of a world in complete turmoil. The fact is: bad news sells better than good news, and TV is a just another business making money.  I was NOT accusing you personally of spending too much time in front of a TV.......thank YOU!
.....so I loaded up the plane and moved to Middle-EEEE..........OIL..that is......

Yes, in todays world the realities of war is so visible to us and in ways that have never been availible in the past.
The fact is, that these horrible realities have always been present, and have happened in every conflict since the beginning of time, ............we just havent been able to see it up so close, and so quickly , even as it happens.
You simply cannot have that much firepower, and destruction going on, and not hit the wrong things or people in the process no matter how much technology and planning you put into it, war is a nasty business and there is a certain randomness, and upredictability that happens no matter how well an attack is planned or executed, or how technologicly advanced the weaponry.

I believe you can if you do not use that firepower. No matter what I feel about each side I have to say that it is all about politics and politics is not a clean job. If oil was not present in Iraq, US would no be there. If US was not the most powerfull country in the world, someone else would be and do the same thing. My conclusion is that no civilians want the war (although some may think they do). Most governments (if not all) have no problem starting a war. It should be a problem for any civilian. Everyone in this forum is a civilian, everyone out there in real world is a civilian, we talk to each other, we are friends, we live our lives and make dreams for the future... and then suddenly they command us to fight each other, kill each other, stop making dreams and destroy other people's dreams... and this is something I cannot accept. I have served my country's army (fortunately in time of peace) and I have seen this way of thinking. The covilian becomes a soldier and "a soldier is expendable". This is a phrase I have been told many times.

I have my own believes about internattional politics as everyone but I don't hate anyone and I don't want to use a weapon against anyone (sim is another thing though...). IN any case whenever I hear such phrases as the one above I only want to answer them "Let me live my way and dream. You cannot give this to me so at least do not take it from me".

I don't think anyone would disagree on this.

Well my statement was not politcial, nor was it in support of war, or any act of war. I simply stated that the harsh cold realities of war have always been a part of it. And that innocents, have allways been happless victims of it. :'(
It saddens me to no end also, but we just were never so vividly exposed it as we are now.
And well,...........maybe,.........just maybe with this exposure we can all realize just how senseless it all is.
And decide, and choose to have peace once and for all.

bombing of the Kurdish convoy buy a US Navy F-14 directed by some US special forces.
remember 9/11

What does one thing have to do with the other? Iraq had no involvement in 9/11- just because George keeps saying it, does not make it so.  There has never been credible evidence that there was any connection. The U.S. is nation building, something candidate George declared was unconscionable. I support our troops, but I believe they are in the wrong place fighting the wrong war. Afghanistan, now that, is a different story altogether.

Ottol, I think you misunderstand me. I'm not trying to make the US "the bad guy". I'm not pointing the finger in anyone's direction. If you read my first post you'll see I state that the target recognition problem leading to "blue on blue" is a problem that need to be addressed my many forces (you have to question why something is being considered as a target - is it displaying correct marking/insignia at the time).

In my last post I was just stating the facts. I could have also mentioned the US losses to friendly fire (and I wouldn't be suprised if some were from British fire).

Sorry if I caused concern,  but maybe you should re-read my first post more carefully...
