If anything this is a timely reminder to credit them with the respect they deserve & not underestimate their capabilities.

Exactly my point.  But, and I can't elaborate on this for reasons of rules here, we all know that the world is in a messed up state right now..as you said, we can't underestimate their capabilities.
Great edit, Bob.

Look upon it as a reminder. If it's taken the right way that's all it is.

i agree, a miricale if he comes back . . . . . .

Why? (Even though they have already landed) I think the Chinese are the best off. They have myriads of info at there disposal and I think they probably will never have a death in their program.

That's right, I'm now using an AMD! I decided to give them another try and they

That is true, but then again so do we.  With about 140 manned space launches-we still have accidents and lose people.  I don't think they have much of a better situation just because of the risk involved in any manned space flight.  If anything, the only safety advantage they have is a newer capsule-but then again it's based on an old Russian's design.  In the end, I think we are all about equil.  Nither the US, Russia, or China will ever be able to make spaceflight completely safe and there will be accidents.  Sadly, it is likely they will lose someone just because of that-eventually.

I fear what RichieB16 said in his last post is way too true, we should expect to lose more lives in space travel.   Despite how engineers strive to make space travel as safe as possible there will always be accidents.  Think of how many people were lost in the early days of flight, even today aircraft and lives are lost.
Being too complaisant is the enemy.  We should always be aware that flight, of any type, is a dangerous business and should not be considered routine.
