Well, I consider myself a fan of almost every kind of music-so it's hard for me to choose a favorite (basically, I enjoy everything from Garth Brooks to Metallica).

Hi Craig... ;D...!
..Sitar...
..Flippin bleedin' 'eck..
I saw one of those in a shop in Swindon, going cheap...
I was going to buy it...
My daughter said to me, "If you buy one of those, Dad, I will dis-own you...".... :'(...!
"They are even worse than a set of bag-pipes".. >:(...!
..so there you are, you have been warned...LOL...!
The tuning for a Sitar is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT to the  Western music scale, and the result is like listenening to a pair of castrated cats howling in the middle of the night.. :o...!
(..and looks like a melon on the end of a stick...)
Forget it Craig, and stick to E,G,B,D,A,E....much simpler and more musical... 8)...!
LOL...LOL...LOL...!

Cheers Craig... ;D
Paul.
(England).

P.S. keep practising on that 'Strat... 8)...!

"They are even worse than a set of bag-pipes"

I hope by the quotation marks you mean your daughter saying that, not you. Bagpipes sound great when played properly.
Then again... I suppose a set of castrated cats would sound good if you played them properly...

...What the hell did i just say?!
LOL ;D

To paraphrase...

I like both kinds of music; Rock AND Roll!

THE BEATLES!
The Allman Brothers
The Guess Who
Joe Cocker

and on and on and on...

For the record, no one will ever top the Beatles.  Plain and simple.  In April 1964 the Beatles held the top FIVE spots on the Billboard charts at the same time.  That will never happen again ever.  At the same time they had the top two spots on the album charts too.  But it's not just record sales I mean.  No one will ever change the face of any kind of music the way the Beatles did.

Time to put a wrench in the works..
Music as far as what one likes can be very fluid. My taste is very diversed.
My favorite group is from Canada called RUSH. There music is very complex and, if your a dummer like me, very hard to play. The current group I'm hooked on is Evanescense. A Gothic/alternative sound and on the sound track for the movie "Daredevil"
Favorite singer is and always will be Elvis.
Favorite song depends on my mood, the day, and what ever sounds good.
Basicly the only music I cant stand is rap.
Though my set is not currently up, I have been playing drums for 23 years.  Being diversed is good as a muscian. Easy to adjust styles. This picture is 23 years old. Back when I had hair!. The set I have now is this same one I got for X-mas in 1980. ( still have the X-mas card too!)
