so effectivly we would be in the victorian ages?
Hmmm. I'm getting on a bit but never considered myself Victorian. I was a "baby boomer", born during WWII. I grew up in the 1950s & '60, one of the most exciting times you could imagine. Some of the greatest strides in aviation technology were accomplished during this period. Not a computer in sight. ::)
I have nothing against computers in principle. They are obviously valuable in business & other areas I'm talking about the PC (Personal Computer) & what it's doing to our quality of life. Like all things, it's fine in moderation. Far too many people, particularly the younger generation, can't seem to live without them. I find this worrying & sometimes wonder where it will all end. What with online shopping, education, working from home & even virtual sex - almost anything you can think of is available from your PC. Taken to its logical conclusion, in a few years from now people could live in their own little virtual world & never need to step outside the front door.
