Selby,

I don't think you're an "@$$hole` or a troll. I'm simply saying that I'm keeping my own counsel on the the issues raised in your particular case until if and when Ramsa chooses to reply to them.

On a more constructive note, you haven't actually described what the problem was that you wanted him to resolve.

If it remains unresolved, perhaps you could post it here  and we could all have a go at helping you out with it. That is, after all, a considerable part of what people do here. :)

I'm quite happy to have a shot at it myself, as I'm sure a lot of other people here would be.

What difference would it make if he did reply to the post? Most of you that know him or he's helped you will believe him. I just wish I had the old aol account I had at the time and I would just take a screenshot and post it here.

I came across a post at that time(back in november or december) that was thanking him for doing an excelent job in improving fps and graphics quality. So I sent him a private message here in simviation.

So he told me to contact him at another e-mail address.
So I contacted him and asked him if could help improve fs2002 performance. He e-mailed me his terms and we both accepted.

Back then I was running a
P4 1.6 ghz
512 ram
nvidia gefroce 4 ti 4200 64
windows xp home
A little tweaking would come in handy at the time.

Now I have a
AMD XP 2400+ MSI 6570 MOBO
1024 ram pc 2700
Nivida geforce 4 ti 4200 64 mb
Windows XP home

I better not have any problems LOL, otherwise I'll have to throw this machine away.

This is unbelievable.

Yes he sent me that file and I immediately deleted it from my machine because it was really bad Fs2000 scenery and yes I told him that I wouldn't use it and I don't.

And yes I requested that he would "pay" me with a different file and I think that he agreed and than I never heard from him again.

If he had recontacted me and told me his feelings than I would have said the following.

"It has taken me years of training at very high cost to me to have the knowledge that I have and that what I was about to show him would increase his computer awareness by leaps and bounds and that there is no way that he or anyone for that matter can think that one lousy plane or scenery can match that experience or knowledge"

This agreement is something that I have with the members of this site and should never have been treated in this way.

And with all this I still would have done the work until he was happy as I have with all of you.

As to these accusations I make it very clear that these files should be bought in my name and sent directly to me if at all possible.

There are payware sites that allow files to be sent as gifts to someone other than the buyer and there are sites that don't but should. So I don't have one bit of a bad conscience about this.

I have worked hours on some of your machines taking away my personal time, my family time and in some cases my business time.

In some cases I have formed friendships with you and in some cases made it possible for you to increase traffic to your websites and to sell your designs.

And now in return I'm being trashed by someone who's calling me a thief and a liar.

On the Fs2002 forum I have someone using my name and trash mouthing me as a result of this post. Which was supposed to be an honor for me.

And do you really believe that just because he bought a new machine that everything will be fine and that he still won't need help

THAN BELIEVE THIS I'D STILL HELP HIM EVEN AFTER ALL THIS AND I'D STILL WANT A FILE IN RETURN BOUGHT IN MY NAME AND SENT TO MY E-MAIL.

Because whether any of you could ever understand this or not I actually love seeing your shots and knowing that you now understand a little about how to make Fs work.

That's why I do it because you can't pay me enough. I do it for the love of this game.

And that is it.

Interesting....you don't agree with their distribution policy so it's ok for you to ignore it? Now where have I come across this before...

On the Fs2002 forum I have someone using my name and trash mouthing me as a result of this post. Which was supposed to be an honor for me.

Two points:

1) I'm getting very tired of you saying I'm "trash mouthing" you. As I've made expressly clear, all I did was question the advice you gave. I didn't call you an idiot or a liar or a thief or any number of other things that would justify that accusation.

Your reply insinuated that my comments were both wrong and could cause potential harm or degradation to system performance, which, despite numerous requests, you still haven't been able to back up with any facts. Seems to me you're the kettle calling the pot black here.

2) The original post in thread was thanking you for your efforts. The person who posted was clearly happy and satisifed with what he got for his money. Great - no problem with that where I'm concerned.

However, your "Which was supposed to be an honor for me" comment is a bit much isn't it? What, someone has a different point of view and they shouldn't have posted it? This is a public forum. A forum is a place for the exchange of views and information. The fact that some of those points of view were commending you is fine, but it doesn't give you ownership of the thread or it's content.

I am embarrassed for you and your complete lack of understanding.

I neither want to control this or any other forum nor do I wish to stop anyone from expressing themselves in any way that they see fit.

LOL - (genuinely - I'm laughing right now).  Lack of understanding is, without a doubt, your forte, not mine.

No actually your forte is your mouth and apparently not much else that I can see.

I told you already, I believe, that I have had clients that I have, through restructuring there file systems, including removing planes from their aircraft folder, have experienced increased frame rates.

Now whether you accept this or not is up to you.

What's not up to you is apparently since you seem to have no control over it is your seeming inability to accept someone else's experience.

I will not now or ever apologise or be accosted by you for the method under which I get payed for what I do.

Frankly, I couldn't care less.

The acid test of knowledge is waiting in the other thread for you.

As for being all mouth, you're the one who made the initial statements which you have completely failed to back up with any facts.

I'm still waiting for fodler size limits for aircraft and scenery...

To all of you,

I want to apologise for this whole thing and to say this.

I have purshased many payware files as gifts for my friends in the flightsim world and when possilble I do so in their names and when impossible I do so in my name and send it to them.

I wish that all websites would allow for this unfortunately this is not the case.

If the only way that I can send a gift to someone or a payment (yes I too make payments) is through using my name than that's what I will do and if any company wishes to address this with me than I would be more than happy to deal with them on this issue.

If any of you feel that I have not completed any of the conditions of our agreement than don't bring it up later address it directly to me and we will find a solution.

If Selbiodln feels that I owe him than I'd be more than happy to redress the situation and to repay him for his loss.

I'll make one comment before I move this out of the FS2002 forum.

Some comments are bordering on the 'non peaceful' here guys  ;)

I don't know the ins & outs of this but  for anyone please acknowledge this :

On simviation - I can not allow people to give advice for anything but their own generosity. It's what this hobby is all about.

We've all aquired skills over years in various forms. The designers have aquired skills. A designer will spend 100's of hours on an aircraft - & for what? Fun mainly & the challenge.. ! This is a hobby driven by fun, generosity & a sharing attitude without concern for what you get in return.

I'm not accusing anyone because I don't know the details but this is just some general advice ...  8)

Now it's being moved to ...... well ... we don't really have an approriate forum - so General ..

I think that this thread has totally "gone in the wrong direction". I am a "constant" in the graphic forums and I have seen alot of the work that Ramsa has posted. I have also heard from many people about his incredible talent. The pictures he posts are one of a kind. Many of you might not know this because you either don't visit this area or you look, but don't say any thing which is totally fine. He has a certain "respect" from all of us over there.

Tipster, from reading this thread, how did it explode like this? You have helped SO many people in the FS2002 forums many, many times!!! You are almost always 1st to respond to any FS2k2 questions. You obviosly know what you are talking about........  Just as Ramsa has helped many of us who enjoy the Graphic Forums and posting "Picture Perfect Quality Shots". He enables us to get our machines operating the best they can so the "graphic" end of FS2k2 is pleasing to us. You are both experts in your advice and knowledge. Please end this silly bickering....you both should be commended on the positive impact you have on these forums.

We all come here for a common interest, Aviation and we all have different areas of this hobby we like to talk about, that is why Pete has created so many forums. There always seems to be somebody who "stands out" with alot of knowlege in each of these forums, We should therefore Respect that Knowlege.

Comming from someone who does not even come close to what the two of you know, it is discouraging to see two brilliant people going on about this becuase one person might have had a negative experience.

As for me... I am in the process of working with Ramsa right now and this silly thread has not changed my expectations of Ramsa.

NOW KISS AND MAKE UP!!!!   :-*  :-*

Sorry to disappoint you but in the past few months I have learned enough to get fs2002 running smooth. Besides I come here to this post and and ask questions and a lot of people always help out. I have manage to get my pc running smooth.

I'm very surprised that there has been no mention of the "Tweaks" post which was made a "sticky' in the CFS3 Forum.
It's helped a hell of alot of people with an issue that was (and still is) driving CFS3 owners to distraction.
In fact, having gone "missing" recently, there are a number of people anxious to have it found and replaced (Pete is working on it, I believe).

Not exactly the kind of post, given freely and openly to any and all that would wish to use it, you would expect from anyone other than he whose main wish was to help others enjoy what he enjoys.
Thank you Ramsa, for that, even tho' my P.C. cannot cope with CFS3. I hope it's available when it can.

It can however cope with CFS2 very well, with better frame rates and much better graphics (if I choose to set "High" for a screenshot) thanks mainly to Ramsas' free advice regarding my P.C., it's limitations, settings and much explanantion (to a P.C. dimwit) as to how and where I was going wrong.

If I ever found myself with a complaint or critisism of someone's help (or even purchased services), I would be going to that person and certainly not be "broadcasting" to thousands, my impressions and accusations (true or not). Common decency would deter me from that action.

I have no doubt, Sebiodln, that you truely believe you were "hard done by".
Ramsa has offered to rectify any shortcoming. You have declined. All over with, as I see it.
The way in which you saw fit to deal with your dissatisfaction is my only disappointment.     :)
