I love this quote...>>>

Quote:
“Voyager 1 is traveling faster than Voyager 2,” Wessen explained. “It’s traveling at about a million miles a day. At a million miles per day, to get to the nearest star, it would take 72,000 years. And if there are 200 to 400 billion stars in our galaxy alone, we’re not even out of the driveway. We’re just starting to put our little toe out into the cosmic seas to see what’s out there.”
End quote.

...and that's just OUR galaxy: the Milky Way!

...and there are loads more Galaxies out there.... :o ...!

It gives some idea of Humanoids futile attempt to personally travel anywhere out of our Solar System!

Especially to send one zooming through the cosmos...
Anywho, demoting Pluto to planetoid status rather left it out in the cold... and, now, Alex shows us it's been given to the dogs. :D
On the mention of celestial telescopes beyond alrot's financial reach, Keplar has discovered Kepler 452b, whose solar system is similar to ours. However, its central star is larger than ours as is the planet larger than Earth (@ twice Earth's mass), which is also estimated as @ 1.5 billion years older; they then call it the "new kid on the block?" Shouldn't it be the older kid on the block -- or, more appropriately, the older kid on another block?

"How many miles to Babylon?"
"Three score and ten".
"Can I get there by candlelight?"
"Yes, and back again!"
