Gulf Oil Rig explosion who do you think should be blamed? or not.

By now everyone has probably heard about the oil rig explosion but who's fault is it?


the last measurement is called "top kill" it's job is to pump mud and cement into the pipes to blockade the gushing oil and save the Louisiana wetlands. Could this be and all other things in happening in the world be a hint to the apocolypse? or could it just be history repeating (Exxon Valdez) it's self or just a plain coincidence.

Transocean owner operator of said rig and Haliburton, builder and supplier of parts, including very out of date specs and plans of said equipment post explosion are being very quite about the whole thing.

Why don't we stop drilling for oil because it's obvious that accidents like this happen and will continue to happen. I vote electric cars powered by Nuclear reactors.

Since the Apocolypse is rooted in Christian religious viewpoint, and at SimV we don't discuss religious stuff in the forums, let's keep the focus here on the blame game on the oil rig situation (if we must).

Electricity.

ships

Small Nuclear reactors.

and semi-trucks.

Biofuels and electric trains.

At least mainstream car manufacturers are heading in the direction of plug-in hybrids, at the very least. e.g. Chevrolet Volt.


Also, 85% of oil we use is burned so I think that's what we have to attack the most.

One of the problems with wind / solar is they are not very economically competitive with fossil fuels.
