How many of you....

Postby Flying Trucker » Sat May 15, 2010 8:55 pm

Good evening all... :)

How many of you Simviators or aviators hum or sing while on a flight or simulated flight.

I have a habbit of this and I also hum or sing this song   when around our home or outside.

Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines.

They Go Up, Tiddly, Up, Up.

They Go Down, Tiddly, Down, Down.

They Enchant All The Ladies And Steal All The Scenes

With their Up, Tiddly, Up, Up

And They're Down, Tiddly, Down, Down.

Up! Down! Flying Around.

Looping The Loop And Defying The Ground.

They're All, Frightfully Keen

Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines.

They Can Fly Upside Down With Their Feet In The Air.

They Don't Think Of Danger. They Really Don't Care.

Newton Would Think He Had Made A Mistake.

To See Those Young Men And The Chances They Take.

Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines.

They Go Up, Tiddly, Up, Up.

They Go Down, Tiddly, Down, Down.

They Enchant All The Ladies And Steal All The Scenes

With their Up, Tiddly, Up, Up

And Their Down, Tiddly, Down, Down.

Up! Down! Flying Around.

Looping The Loop And Defying The Ground.

They're All, Frightfully Keen

Those Magnificent Men, Those magnificent men, Those magnificent men and their fly--ing ma--chines!

Now I want you all to learn those words so you can sing at the top of your voices while simviating or aviating and trying to avoid those black puffy wuffies... ;D

Very nice Doug - a little off key on the last verse.

The only time I sing is when I'm driving. I can't carry a tune in a bucket... but I can carry one in a car. :D

If I were to become the lead singer of a band I would have to have my car on stage or it wouldn't work at all. ::)

For why did you try singing in a bucket?
I suppose a car on stage would work if you were doing a remake of Little GTO or such...

As for what I may sing while sim-flying, you might ask patches...
::)

There is no 'i' in team and no 'e' or 's' in patchz.
I see, There's no ease for patchz...

And I don't remember the name of it but I still have the .mp3 which is labled HAD#2. But if memory serves, it is to the music of Lies by the Knickerbockers. How's that?
Correct file label, correct originating band, incorrect song; my version's title: High Above. ;)

I tend to hum the last tune I heard.... or whistle the Imperial theme from Star Wars quite often.
I've noticed if I've heard the theme to Rhubarb and Custard my flying does get a little erratic whereas if I've listened to Yello's The Race I tend to go flat out...
Music tends to affect my mood greatly.

Well, two outta three ain't bad. Jog my memory. Never mind, 'High On Love'. Should've got it from the title similarity.

What about Rocket Man? That one jumped into my head the first time I flew solo. :)

A few others that "fly" into my brain when flying are "Given to Fly" by Pearl Jam, "Starlight" by Muse, and a few Radio Head songs whose names I can't remember at the moment.

I just load up the cd player and what ever comes on ,comes on. Like Scottish pipes & drums when I'm flying over the sea of Japan, or Rocky Mountain High when I'm crossing over the Adirondacks. You just never know, I love all kinds of music. Sometimes the timeing is perfect, like the Ride of the Valkyries coming on as your making your approach in lousy weather!
