just as the topic implies... what you do for a living, do you enjoy it and what made you decide to pursue it?  :)

I'm currently on active duty orders at my Army Reserve Unit for a few months. Do I like it? It's ok.

Thankfully i've been in the army long enough to make more than minimum wage...lol

I am a student and a son. Do I like it, sure I do for the time being as I am only 14.

I'm a student starting my last year of secondary school...

Now I have to make some decisions (for possible careers) and that keeps me stressed

I wake up, go to school, return home, eat, go to the gym some times and sleep...

Farmer...have been all my life and always will be...would rather die then take a desk job no matter what the pay

Construction worker...love it & hate it, pretty much do everything from starting with a foundation/basement, to move in ready 8-)  Main specialty is electrician.  It's been rather...shocking...a few times, but I ain't dead yet, so I guess I'm doing a good job

Those are just the 2 main year round jobs...spring is almost here which means picking up a few misc odd jobs of all kinds.

Railroad engineer. It means I install, test and maintain switches, signals, railroadcrossings, traindetectionsystems and everything else you can think of besides the tracks and overhead wires themselves. It's a great job, been doing this for 17 years now. Lot's of freedom, always outside. Which is nice in summer but sucks when it rains or freezes.

I worked as a professional Electrical/Electronic Engineer, and Design Draughtsman, for the whole of my working life, since leaving School at the age of sixteen.

I now occupy a large amount of my time in absolute peace and tranquility.....[smiley=thumbsup.gif]...!

(But not Dead, in case you are curious... ...).

An aircraft mechanic. I currently spanner on 737-800's and Air Bus A320's.
However, for the last three days I have been stuck in bed with flu, not man flu, the real thing and it sucks. Thank god for laptops and wifi.

Currently a student in my last year of A-levels.
After that its decision time, most probably go into the RAF as aircrew if I can get it.

As for a job I go to RAF Syerston every Sunday as part of 643 VGS as a Flight Staff Cadet. I don't get paid, it's all voluntary, they just reward me with free flying training. It's way too much fun for it to be a job!

Sorry Ben, but I am the wrong person to ask. The reason being, although I am a Brit, I live and work in Germany and all my qualifications are in German. I know we have JAR (Joint Aviation Requirement) at the moment and everything is supposed to be the same, but it is not. JAR is for guidance and is not legally binding. So whilst it looks good on paper, it can be a nightmare to navigate through it all. I would suggest writing to BA and the CAA. Explain what you want to do and take it from there. BA still offer apprenticeships as far as I am aware and that is always a very good start. The down side is when you are at the bottom of the ladder, the pay is not that good. Add that with the cost of living in the UK, and, well you can see why I decided to remain in Germany after I left the RAF. And that is another option to consider. Signing on the dotted line and giving 6 years of you life to the Queen and the RAF. Now whist you will get no civilian qualification out of it (they are not stupid), you will get the finest training available and the chance to spanner on some very nice toys. Once you have done your time, it will stand you in good stead for any future employer.
