MySpace sickness...

Postby Alonso » Wed Dec 06, 2006 12:26 pm

I'm very very amazed on how people, specially in the US, uses Myspace

Last week my cousin came to my house, she was visiting Peru and she lives in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She just came and turned her laptop on and entered Myspace, it was just so quick!..

She will stay until tomorrow and right now she is stealing all my bandwith with her full-music-video-loaded pages...  Now.. what's strange is that they even use more Myspace to send messages than IM's (like AOL)!! ....

I have my profile on Hi5! because thats what everyone uses here.... but I have never seen such an obsession with one of those sites!!!

Disscuss  ;)

Facebook.

Unlike the other sites you're not constantly sent friend invites by complete strangers who like having 50,000 online friends.

It's because they don't know how to go outside and play anymore. We used to hang out at the mall or the arcade and talk face-to-face.

Oh, the chavs still do that but they talk on cell phones these days, even if they're standing next to each other.

There were no malls or arcades in my day. No computers or cell phones either. Us kids played in the park, on the beach or in the street. Times were a tad different then.

I do not have a myspace, and never will. One of my freinds was so amazed by this that he created a myspace "fan site" for 'the only man who doesn't have a myspace' -me. It's mostly pictures of me holding houshold objects as weapons, and pictures that were supposed to be of someone else, but I jumped into them at the last second (one of my hobbies). :P

My name is Dave, and I'm addicted to myspace.   :D

However I mostly use it to stay in touch with distant friends, since I move around the country.
