It was the show Mythbusters that inspired me and a friend to start the Holyshit projects.  The first one was a RC dune buggy that I fixed model rocket engines to and ignited.  It went like a gun 2X.

HS2 was a pinewood derby car with a slightly smaller rocket.  This was greatly unsuccessful, as it had a tendancy to spin around like a top

HS3 was a Jeep Wrangler RC fitted with:  1 medium rocket fitted vertically on the nose, 2 medium rockets on top, and 2 high powered rockets on the bottom.
We did not have the juice to ignite more than 2 at a time, so we lit the nose rocket first (did a 1080), then the 2 on top (spun horizontally because one rocket was pointed the wrong direction), then the 2 on bottom.  The last was quite spectacular as it traveled approx. 6 inches forward on the ground before it took flight.  The flight took the car in a spiraly path 20 ft in the air, before it came down, on fire and spinning.
