Microsoft has previously said that Vista will make malicious software that gets onto computers without the users' knowledge "a thing of the past".

Executives at the firm have said Vista, which is likely to run on high-specification computers only, has been designed with security as "part of the design, not a bolt-on".

Comment on Para 1  :     Yeah, right.

Comment on Para 2  :     In that case it won't be happy with my set-up !

Argh!

Just as I get XP a new one comes out.

Typical. ::)

Maybe there's enough RAM on here though to support it.. Hmm.

I just don't know if my dad is willing to spend $500 on an OS since we have one that we have one now that is virtually bug-free (so far).

Heck, I'm still using WinMe.

I pity you. ;)

Well I get on just fine with XP so I will not be changing anytime soon. Besides it will take two years to work all the bugs out and issue all the fixes and patches and service packs.

yeah what timing. FS2006 will come out, then Vista comes out. then we have to wait for a service pack for FS2006 to work on vista. this time i'll wait for FS2006 to come out. I only ot FS2004 on the first day because i wanted the tin case.

btw the case makes good storage, i got FS2004, FS2002, CFS3, Train Sim, 3 Train sim addons, booklets, manuals, handy ittle tin.

Be sure, it will a wonder of the world if Microsoft manages to make a peice of software without it being full of bugs and needing the General publics attention. ::)

c'mon $5 says we'll need another service pack for XP soon!

not to mention that it is confimed that Vista will have service packs, no qeustion about it. mSft said it themselves at the bottom of the report.
