well having seen a program then read a full explination behind each pitiful thing they picked out, i found the program to be a waste of my time.,

Of course we did.  I saw it on TV.  If that's not real I don't know what is.

If we faked it there must have been a consipracy involving thousands of people.  In 30+ years not one of those conspirators has come forward.

I think that Jim has summed it up well.  Conspiracy theorists wont ever believe in it, they will always find "evidence" to disprove it.

I keep an open mind on the subject. When I saw the whole thing live on TV I was inclined to believe it. I had no reason not to. I encouraged my baby daughter to watch one of the landings even though she was too young to appreciate what it was all about. My wife's grandmother, then in her 90s, never believed it & always insisted it was a hoax set up in a film studio. This was long before the conspiracy theories were published. She had seen a lot during her long life & was not easily fooled. This made me reconsider my own opinion. When I watched it again some things about it didn't look right to me. There were plenty of reasons to beat the Russians to the moon & knowing how governments work nothing would surprise me. If you believe the US government lied about the existence of Area 51 & other secret projects why should this be any different? ::)

Some years later there was a feature film which gave a perfectly credible explanation of how it could have been faked. It was very well done but I can't remember the title right now. I'm still not totally convinced after visiting the Kennedy Space Center & seeing all the amazing things there. Before anyone starts shouting the odds I reserve the right to have my doubts. 8)

I voted maybe, but I'm inclined to think it was real. I hope it was anyway.

Hagar, the movie was "Capicorn one"

As far as this topic, keep an open mind. The information can lean you either way easily. I am more to the real side than the not-real side

Ah yes. That was it. Thanks Chris, my single remaining marble can now have a much deserved rest. :)

PS. Loomex is right. Keep an open mind & come to your own conclusions. Don't believe everything you're told or see on TV. This applies to everything, not just the moon landings.

Such a silly thing.

I've debunked the conspiracy theorists numorous times. Their main sticking point is the flag looks like it's flapping in the breeze. The flag was rigged with a spring so it would appear to fly in the wind. There is no atmosphere on the moon so without the spring, the flag would just droop down. Not very patriotic.
[center]I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday. ;)

Here's a site that discusses the "right" side of the argument, along with some links to conspiracy theory sites.

http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/tv/foxapollo.html

If you go back to the main page he discusses all sorts of whacko scientific/astronomical theories.

3 astronauts went there...
2 landed...
1 stayed in the main craft...

I am still waiting for them to go back to pick up the cameraman who took the movie film of the 2 astronauts buzzing around on their moon-mobiles, and filmed the final take-off from the moon...
I just hope he had enough sandwiches and flasks of tea to last him until someone goes back to rescue him... ;)...!

LOL...LOL...LOL...!

Cheers all... ;D...!
