You have to remember that symbols such as the swastika are illegal in Germany. Hence why Wolfenstein is still banned.
If you look at German warbirds flying in Germany you'll notice that they don't carry certain markings

Lets face it, most people will just illegally download it if they cannot buy it, so the country might as well earn their tax money and just sell the games. e-shops and the companies themselves will just vend it anyway.

I have been living here in Germany now for the last 14 years and unless you move here, you will never every have a true understanding of the feeling that Nazi symbols produce. It also makes not sense to try and explain it when the UK and USA can only counter with freedom of speech and actions argument.
