The band gets smaller still - the experiences of those who are left grow ever more valuable.

A true legend amongst many thousands of heroes, although as such a humble man, I suspect he would never have wanted anyone to think so.

RIP Maj. Dick Winters, and thank you. My father served with the 101st in Bastogne and got a bit shot up. Not sure which company dad was in though.

A remarkable man! Even though I only knew him through movies, documentaries, and books, I always felt like I knew him on a bit more of a personal level.  :(
