Sadly, humans aren't educated on the breeding cycles of four legged wild mammals. Most of them breed in the fall of the year. Bear, Coyote, Moose, Deer, Chipmunks and Me.
The males will get extremely aggressive during mating season while they are competing with every thing that might be a challenge. The females get extremely aggressive after the young are concieved. Usually in the early spring.
8-) And yes.. Chipmunks, Mice and Rats haven't learned when they should go celabate, but no one has been gored by a chipmunk yet!
