I have yet to see one, but I'm willing to bet that a little judicious use of scissors would render it inoperable.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

I don't see what the hoo-ha is all about... if you don't want market researchers following you home (  ::) ) take the tags off before you leave the parking lot.
But it would be sensible to combine this function with existing anti-theft technology and have the tags removed at check-out.
