Go for it and pick up a set, the woofer is nice and heavy thats always a good sign ;)

15 years ago I walked into Sears looking for nothing in particular, $100 later walked out with a pair of Sony 8 inch woofer 3 ways cabs that'll do everything from Bach to Black Sabbath. 

Just my lucky day, considering how expensive good speakers can be.
