Some Scam artists are getting dumber...

Postby patchz » Fri Sep 18, 2009 9:30 am

[color=#000000]I received two different email scams (phishing) the same day from the same address. One was the usual 'I have money for you' but the other was a legitimate sounding, at least at first, secret shopper deal. Yeah, I know, they all have ulterior motives and end up costing you something. But the secret shopper one had an addition in the the title and body: Not Spam!
I could not help but laugh. I sent both to my ISP's phishing dept. This one needs to be prosecuted, if for no other reason than stupidty.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

American laws don't apply in Ethiopia...

...if you really want to get back at them, offer him a job. Tell him you'll pay him 10 grand for a life sized sculpture of Lord Admiral Nelson, have him ship it to you...

...and not pay him. He's out weeks of labor, what ever it cost him to make the statue plus shipping, and the realization that Ethiopian anti-scam laws don't apply in America either.

What's more annoying is when the asshole spammers spoof peoples e-mails to pedal their crap.

An unfortunate truth... hopefully, quite a few times removed...

NATWEST BANK
UPDATE AND VERIFY YOUT INFORMATION

Proof reading... For the few seconds it can take, it could mean the difference between making a lot of money from one silly soul, or looking like an idiot.

I get more emails from the banks I am not with, asking me to verify details, than the bank I am with. And well, I don't get any from the bank I am with unless they are legitimate.  >:(   Stupid scam artists.

They tried that on eBay with me:

Dear Sir, we need you to update your eBay account information, do to security reason, failure to do so will result in your eBay account termination.

And they sent 10 more when I kept deleted them I like the last one, finale notice.
