Ryanair does it again

Postby expat » Thu Feb 26, 2009 4:27 am

A spokesman for Ryanair confirmed a staff member did write on the site but dismissed Mr Roe as a lunatic and an idiot.

He said: "It is Ryanair policy not to waste time and energy in corresponding with idiot bloggers and Ryanair can confirm that it won't be happening again.

"Lunatic bloggers can have the blog sphere all to themselves as our people are far too busy driving down the cost of air travel," he added.

I really do wonder if Ryanair just don't think, or are all these media gaffs the companies version of shock and awe in the advertising

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Some might say thank goodness it isn't. The litigation culture has a lot to answer for.

Let's face it, nobody got hurt or stands to suffer long-term illness as a consequence of this rather silly episode. It makes some of the Ryanair employees appear stupid, insensitive or both but I'm sure that applies equally to other airlines. Meanwhile, they say there's no such thing as bad publicity.
