12,000 Intel quad-core Xeon chips linked on dual 20 Gbit/second Infiniband interconnects to deliver 487 TFlops of Linpack performance..........................anyone translate that from geek speak into English :-? :-?

Lots of processors, very fast. (your average pc will deliver 1 Teraflop, a ps2 will do 2 teraflops, this will do 487. not a very good way of determining perfomance but when you have 487 you know that its A LOT better than your system .

Would not run games any better than a single Quad Core. The slowest Core i7 could probably outperform it at games. FLOPS is a poor way to scale performance.
