Well, since we are on the subject, I've got a question. Every year I read about a lot of houses being destroyed and people killed by tornadoes and floodings. I also notice it happens in a certain area of the U.S. So why don't you get out of the way and move to an area where this doesn't happen? I know I wouldn't build my house in an area likely to be destroyed a few times a year.

Crash ;)

No matter where you live, a natural disaster can get you.

Earthquakes
Floods
Hurricanes
Snow/blizzards
Tornadoes
Thunderstorms/wind damage/hail damage/lightening damage
Tsunamis
Wildfires

I'm sure I left off other types of natural disasters. Then there's the man made disasters.

The funny thing is....I suppose where Crash lives in Holland, and like me in England, we don't seem to suffer the various, frequent, natural disasters which seem to afflict most of the United States.

Whenever I trawl daily through the news from various States, there is always some terrible natural disaster going on, causing great pain, discomfort, and expense to the inhabitants!...
...and like Crash, I think surely there must be somewhere to live in the U.S. where this is unlikely to occur so frequently :o...!

My biggest worry is if I leave my Motor Bike outside, it may possibly rain, and get a bit wet... :'(...!

Crash's biggest worry is that a Dike may burst and get his Motor Bike wet....
.....(and possibly bury the rest of Holland under water)... ::)...!

Paul....Mmmmm....I spot a little Cloud, overhead!... :(...!

If I had my camera instead of worrying about the tornadoes, I could have taken some excellent action shots.
Tumbling after my cameras to get some "inside" shots wasn't on my mind, either. ;) ;D

The US is a bit larger than the UK and Holland, so we're bound to have more natural disasters. God knows we have more than our fair share of man made disasters, most of these are caused by politicians....lmao

Fascinating bit of information...;)..!

Quote:
Natural hazards:
tsunamis, volcanoes, and earthquake activity around Pacific Basin; hurricanes along the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico coasts; tornadoes in the midwest and southeast; mud slides in California; forest fires in the west; flooding; (permafrost in northern Alaska, a major impediment to development)
End quote.

Although Great Britain is about the same size as California they have the lot! , Fortunately, we don't seem to suffer theses Natural Hazards as Californians do, in such frequency and severity..;).!

Quote:
Ethnic groups:
     white 81.7%, black 12.9%, Asian 4.2%......
End Quote.

As I pop across the San Francisco Bay to Oakland and Richmond, observing the Live Kron4 Video News when there's the usual, good-old shooting going on,  I could be forgiven for thinking that they have got their ratios a little bit out of kilter!...;)...!
(Los Angeles is another story!)

Quote:
Literacy:
definition: age 15 and over can read and write
total population: 99%
male: 99%
female: 99% (2003 est.)
End quote.

....Lets hope the remaining 1% aren't Sim V Members... :o...!

In which case my house will be flooded by 2 metres of water. And the rest of Holland? We'll make a big swimming pool out of it and ask entrance fees instead of visas.....

Crash ;) (wrapping the Honda in floating bubblewrap, just in case....)
