I am speechless :o
I have to say that I though for the first second this was another Americanism to come over the pond, but no it is home grown.

Would you let your seven year old daughter have one

Seems more than a padded bra is now necessary:
a completely enclosed padded suit for the child -- a completely padded room for the designers.

I believe that the Cherokee brand name is indeed American. http://cherokeegroup.com/

Fashion lecturer David Morris described the bra as "salacious".

He added: "I can imagine women being upset about their daughters buying these 'pocket money bras' without their mums knowing.

Pocket money bras? I'm wondering how many 7 year-olds go out & buy their own underwear without their parents knowledge.

Like there isn't already a big enough peadophile problem at the moment, without resorting to giving young girls curves that they don't yet possess themselves.

It was expected. Two years ago there was this case here in Holland of a store selling g-strings for girls in the age of 6 or 7 years old and up. They are still for sale. Saw it last week while shopping for baby clothes.

Wait if you read the article "A Pole Dancing Kit" for kids c'mon ;D ;D  Must be a case of Americanism, although I have never  seen any of the products mentioned in this post. ::)

So, a push up bra, a g-string and a pole dance kit. Maybe some advertising executive can bring all this together and sell a Pedo-To-GoGo kit. I am sure that some lawyer will argue that under the human rights bill they are doing nothing wrong.

Proper parenting could avoid these things.  Its not like a 7 year old goes shopping alone.

Sure, I would think some proper parents made an issue of these products. ;) Better to nip it in the bud before it becomes popular like "Paris Hilton" ;D ;D (man I wish that would of got nipped)

On the other hand the clothing and toy industry figured these items would sell well. And the question I would like to see answered is who bought said items?? What demographic feels these products are OK.
