so how much did you get charged?

Verizon Wireless E-911 fee: 1.99
State of IL E-911 Tax: 1.99
Cook County* E-911 Tax: .99
City of Rolling Meaodws 911 (both analog & digital) 1.99

an extra $7 to tell the fire dept that the backyard fence caught fire...

i would spend less on gas to the station...

:)Ramos

*and yes its the same Cook County from "the Blues Brothers"

Gotta love that.
It'll come to a point where you dont even call for help because the phone bill will be higher than the cost of repairing your house. ;D

I have never personally been charged, but the VoIP customers I deal with have been. Our company charges a $4 fee on top of everything because we have to shut down 10 lines for the E-911 call to make sure you get an uninterrupted line. So at the end of the day when they end up with a $11 911 call they come after us all pissy.

Oh well......just another reason I will always take a cell phone over VoIP, not to mention that its cheaper 90% of the time.

Cheers
