I love the American Legal system where, if you accidentally brush against someone at 1 MPH, with your motor-car/bicycle/scooter/etc you can be prosecuted for attacking them with a "Deadly Weapon"... :o...!

The Highway Police often use that as an excuse for sending an errant motorist to the Electric Chair!... :o...!

...time to move to another Country?... ::)...!

Paul... ;D...!

Edit: Assault.

I think the US legal system is probably the silliest in the world ;D Mind you the British system isn't far behind for sheer daftness ::) ;D
Methinks we should put the world in a nice quiet room with rubber wallpaper until it feels better....

I recommend that we have everyone get a snowball and start throwing them at the first lawyer or prosecutor that recommended such an accusation.

All in favor, pick up a snow ball and say "Aye"!

Aye!!!

Couldn't I just paint a brick white and chuck that at lawyers? ;D

There are some cases where the dumbest lawsuits/trials come from some are taken seriously others are dismissed this is the serious one, a good example of smart and dumb judges:

GOOD JUDGE: a while back a family who's kid broke a leg in a snowball fight with friends, JUDGE: his own fault dismissed

BAD JUDGE: a woman sued mazda for not having proper instructions on how to secure seatbelts, not sure if she won

I don't know how things are in other countries, but here in the US our snowballs are largely blood free.  A snowball so soaked in the stuff as to be called a "bloody snowball" is just disgusting.  :)

And I'd bet you can sue God in the US, but good luck trying to collect.

It's a silly film and a dumb idea. Anyone with any knowledge of law knows that "an act of God" is simply a legal definition for explaining something that wasn't anyone's fault. An alternative would be "an act of mother nature". Back in the days when law was in a primitive state gods or God were the powers that were only believed in. I disagree with the article's immature stance that it could be a serious question, which IMO, shows ignorance.
