Family want Fossett declared dead

It is still mysterious, for sure... the only thing I've ruled out is that he landed off-airport somewhere by accident and is alive but just not found yet.
Just read an article about a day spent with Richard Branson; his comment on Fossett's disappearence was "It's my greatest hope that in ten years' time he'll write me a lovely letter from some beautiful place in South America..."
