(thankfully, I don't need use the old outdoor clothesline method)
Over here, in the Land of the Enlightened, we have these amazing machines called "Tumble Dryers", which we pop our damp clothes into, close the door, select the temperature and time, and switch on. Hey, Presto!...within a short time our damp clothes are magically dried, ready to wear, all ready to pop off to work to, in a happy, warm, cosy mood... :)...!
....nice for warming your 'jamas before getting into bed, as well.... ;)...!
We usually just call them dryers. Mine's a refurbished Frigidaire. ;D
(someone threw it out because its pulley system was bad and I revamped it with parts from my old GE, whose casing was the worse for wear) -- it's the reason I said I don't need a clothesline. However, it's not quite presto: I like to wash the clothes in the washing machine first, then put them in the dryer.

;)
