I love all sports   :)   Athletic prowess entertains me to no end. Some people think it's silly to pay and sit through a sporting event, just like I think it's silly to pay and sit through a rock concert, or an opera. To each his own   8-)

Anyway.. I'm watching game 3 right now (cheering for the Rockies)... it's 40 degrees F there and some of the fans are bundled up like they'll freeze to death. I can't help but chuckle, as I've been at a Packer game in Lambeau Field where the temperature was WELL below 0 degrees F  with snow falling ::)

ROCKIES JUST HIT A 3-RUN HOMER !!!!!!!    :D

It's silly to go to a game when you can get a better view from the TV ::) ;D

But as you said, to each his own ;) :P

Gaahh, I love Wisconsin!  Thank goodness it's getting to be that time of year again.... ;)

But for me, a sport has to be NASCAR or faster to really interest me.  Although I've had season hockey tickets for the last three years, and those games are always entertaining.  Except last year,  the Badgers went from being the National Champions one year to being awful the next.  Oh well, this year is looking better. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Competitive fishing is entertaining too... ;)

Any Yankee fan that's here is most likely rooting for the Rockies as well.

yup!
nope!
One of your infamous NY polititians has declared an American League preferance. Since his Yankees didn't win the division, he's routing for the
Red Sox.
On that note, it was nice that the Rockies finally had someone show up for the game last night -- was that actually the Rockies or some stand-ins?

:-/

I'm a big fan of (American) football..  I'd  LOVE to see Rugby league make it big in the U.S.  What I have seen of it was very fun to watch. A few years ago, ESPN was showing lots of Australian rules football.. I enjoyed that, too..  :)

Any sport being played by the best in the world is fun to watch.. even golf  :)

For those who don't keep up on their sports the Red Sox swept the series to win their second World Series title in 86 years last night.

But it's okay, I'll continue to root for the Rockies every time they play against the Yankees.

Aha... the Rockies must agree with you. Those really were stand-ins in the game -- the real Rockies were lounging back at home watching via TV! :D

Considering the 'Sox performance this year and in 2004 any team that clinches a series early against the 'Sox must be thinking "uh oh, they've got us right where they want us..."  Just like in 2004 the AL Championship series proved better than the World Series.  Although perhaps not quite as cool this time (things are always more interesting against the Yankees).
