Well done to SA - sadly video refs have never been infallible...

On the plus side, look at the core of the England team for 2011 that could remain for 2011 at 35 or under from tonights 22:

Sheridan
Stevens
Kay (the oldest at 35 in 2011)
Moody
Easter
Wilkinson
Tait
Hipkiss
Cueto
Sackey
Chuter
Richards
Flood

Add to the likes of Harry Ellis, David Strettle, and others who missed out through injury, or the fact they're so young, then the future's bright (but not orange)

I'm not so aure, having seen the after-match replay.

But either way, it was a great game, both teams played incredibly, and the important thing for England now is to move on from that decision. We don't want to be moaning about it for the next four years.

To be honest we did well to get to the final....

If that try had been 'scored' by SA, and not given i bet you wouldn't be so angry ;)

Both teams played really well, and I think SA deserved it in the end....

At the end of the day the Spring Boks played better. A real clash of the titans but like any competition there must be a winner and a loser. Tonight was our turn to lose.......

Yes they did. Even with a try, we still gave away the points in penalties. Not only that, but they forgot that it was rugby they where playing and not football.

I know Gordon Brown wouldn't have done that if we'd won. ;D

see here is why i feel we played better.

majoroty of SA points came from penalties

biased ref who missed a few things he would have jumped on if we had done it to SA, one being a very high takle of saki around 60-65mins

most of the play was in the SA half.

i would usualy sy that yes fair play they played better, but after this match i just dont see it that way. oh well, we are all entitled to our own opinion.

the last angle the vid ref watched that try from made it look like the foot was on the line, from straight behind it was just on the pith makeing it a try!

I wouldn't be too sure about that. Not only could he do with the publicity but the PM is a keen rugby fan despite losing the sight of his left eye after being kicked in a school rugger match.

Well if the two angles dispute each other, no wonder he took so long over the decision.

Amazing how a couple of millimeters could choose between two teams for the rugby world cup title.

I dont know how the rugby guys work, but in the NFL, a replay decision can only overturn a referees decision if there is clear and conclusive proof to overturn the decision. If theres a slight bit of doubt then the ruling on thre field stands.
When you look at the tournament as a whole, SA deserved it far more tbh.

Quite right too - he's Scottish. Harry and Wills however would've been a different matter.
