What an interesting story.  It hit me on so many levels.

- It reminded me how fortunate I am to be able to afford periodic air travel and also how fortunate I am to be able to enjoy flight simulation at home;

- It came close to bringing me to tears, that there are people in the world for whom just such a crumb from the table of the richer parts of the world is a special treat.

Long ago I realized that I cannot be personally responsible for all the woes and hardships that befall millions of people around the world less fortunate than myself.  I also learned to not feel guilty about enjoying the privileges I have.  That is just the painfully and cruelly fair way life works out.  It still hurts to see people in dire want or need.

What I do hope is that to be able to touch one's inspiration, such as these people are doing, helps them find the way to realizing their dreams, step by slow agonizing step.  I understand the need, the drive that maybe others do not understand who do not share it, to nurture a dream and keep hope alive.

After all, flight simulation is the way I lovingly caress my hopes and dreams about flying even when I don't know whether or not I will be able to make it a reality, so maybe we're not so different after all.

Thank you very much for putting that way. ;)
