Unscrambling

Without dwelling on the reason behind why this was done, the degrees to which unscrambling computer data can go now it seems to have jumped a level this week.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Can't you achieve the same result by spinning it in the opposite direction from which it was originally spun?  :-X

still,  black bars or simply deleting the face would be much more effective!

but you also have to get the area that you are un-spinning correct to the last pixel. Considering it looks like the image had been further distorted afterwards it's no small feat.

AN223 + SB: this guy has used a common filter and nothing more. by applying some spin effect which is widely available. as it has been spun in such a extreme manner the colors become very stretched, so even if you just twisted in the opposite direction you would get someting that looked like a clanger :P (joke)

as monkey said, it is based on maths, so the french team would of used some algorithm or shizzle to reverse the procedure to what they predict is the man they are looking for.

and yes, a black circle is much more effective.

Not posting pictures of himself in any form would have been the sensible thing. Then again, this muppet probably wasn't overly blessed in the common sense department. ::)
