Look at the coast line.  The road doesn't simply end at the white thing, the image is offset.  The road continues but the traffic is lighter.  So whatever the white thing is, it's a place traffic stops for a significant time then proceeds.  The Canadian flag implies it's in Canada, so I'm guessing it's a boarder crossing, and the only boarder available is with the US.  The only question is where, and that's something I could find in half an hour on Google Earth, but I'm at work so I don't have access.  I bet someone will beat me to it though.  

My wild guess is it's a section of Canada/Alaska where the US is to the North of Canada, perhaps the very southern tip of Alaska.  Probably wrong about that though...

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
