It's the same here in Peru.

5000 free messages in 1 month. That is Claro, a mexican company.

Movistar (the one I have subscription with) gives unlimited messages for 1 month.... in the end it's the same!

Prepaid is the way to go.  But I agree, sneaky tactics are nasty, but the onus has to be on the person signing the contract, otherwise they don't have a leg to stand on.  Whenever I hear of deals that are too good to be true I always am suspect about them.

I dont use the phone a lot, only when needed to contact friends and other people. No for this random gibberish talking, for that i got a beer and some chips .

Im using Prepaid, works like a charm, you never pay too much.

Let's do the math:

10000 sms / 3 weeks(21 days) = 476.19 sms per day

476 sms / 24 hours = 19.83 per hour EVERY HOUR OF EVERY DAY!

so if you get 8 hours sleep per day, that brings each day down to 16 hours. Meaning 476/16 = 29.75 texts per waking hour. aieeeeeeee!!!!
