If you failed in society and are a loser in general you can always become a politician. Bunch of arseholes, no matter which country in the world they come from.

Let's not forget the beaurocrats who live and breath according to government incompetence.  As far as I know beaurocrats are the only career choice where you get promoted in proportion to the level and consistancy of your incompetency.
