The Naked Shoplifter

The title may lead you to believe that there would be a link to a news story here, but there isn't. In fact, this is my own account of something that I witnessed today.

As you may know, my job takes me to many grocery stores. At my fourth stop of the day, just after I pulled into a parking spot, I noticed a struggle near the east door of the store. There was a man on the ground, only his head and shoulders visible. He yelled, "get off me!" and hoisted himself up. At that moment I realized that he had no pants, and was soon to lose his shirt. Someone had a hold of it, obviously trying to stop his escape, but he slipped free of his bonds and bounded nude across the parking lot. Once inside the store, I inquired "What was with that naked guy?" and was told "he tried to steal something", I asked, "Is that what you guys do to shoplifters here?" The cashier replied "We try to hold them for the police, all we got from him were his pants and shirt".

The moral of the story is, don't steal things, or you may end up running though a parking lot bare-ass naked.
