Blimey. It's a long time since I last saw that. Not sure if it's the same incident but the car manufacturer used it as an advert.

That's remarkable, and not the only time it's been done, but it's not worth the risk, IMHO.
A planned gear-up landing is quite survivable, but a small error or any number of surprises under these circumstances could easily kill everyone involved.

It's just a damn airplane- not worth a human life. That's why protecting people from harm is Rule #1 in flying.

Can anyone remember the ad I'm talking about? It was a genuine incident some years ago now & the car company bought the photo. I had an idea the car was an Audi & the aircraft might have been a twin.

Are you talking about the attempt for an ad where some plane tried to land ontop of a car and it missed by a couple feet so the wheel went into the window of the car and ended in a pretty scary looking crash?

No, it was exactly the same situation as this one but I don't think it was the same car or aircraft. The photo used in the ad was of the mechanic pulling the jammed landing gear down.

PS. Now I come to think of it this must have been over 10 years ago.
