Snow

Postby Mobius » Thu Oct 12, 2006 1:14 am

It just snowed here a bit, and it left behind a bit of a dusting that will probably be gone by morning, but for now it's 30 degrees and supposed to stay that way until the sun comes up.

Good news. :)

That time of year, here in TN suppose to frost by Friday evening.
AHH! I love fall!! It is the time of year you can actually spend time outside and not burn alive and be able to breath once again. Bring on the snow!

That is something I miss from living in MI, four seasons, here in TN it is brief Spring/Summer/brief Fall/Summer/something they try to call Winter/Summer, this state is as backwards as a majority of the people that live here ;D ;D ;D

LOL! That is why people here in TN think I am crazy. Being from Michigan i too put on the shorts around 50*, where the natives won't think of it until it hits 80*. They don't realize that 50* in Michigan is a find summer afternoon lmao!

DOUBLE  LOL   ;D

I'm from Michigan's upper peninsula. Fifty degree days can find people SWIMMING (not really, but close).

Summer to us, has been called, "Three months of bad skiing"...

300+ inches of snow is NOT unusual before the spring thaw..

Last Wednesday, it was 43 degrees, and I was walking by the lake here in Madison, and there were a bunch of people out wind and kite surfing.  They were wearing wet suits (or dry suits, I don't know), but still, they were nuts. :o ;)

It's supposed to be a mild winter.. but we'll still see a day or two where the ambient temperature will be -30F with wind-chill near -50F..
