You could save the money Coinstar rips you off on and get one of those coin wrapper-upper machines.  The bank accepts coins if they're in little stack, as far as I know.

You know how bankers love count their pennies!

I'm lucky with that.  My bank will actually allow you to bring the change and they have a machine that counts it for you.  Its like coinstar but you don't lose 7%, and you don't have to roll them up.  It's great!

Well we have that too,where the bank actually weigh the coins but my point was that these coins go out of "normal" circulation for long periods so reducing the chance of finding these special ones. Ramos must have taken quite while to "save" 12,200 pennies. multiply that by the number of US citizens doing the same and that is a BIG number of missing pennies.....commoner

Thats true.  Who knows, maybe they will find there way all the way to Oregon.
