Olympic closing ceremonies. Wonderful, until...

Hey; the Italians really dida great job on the closing ceremonies. Stylish; elegant; as only Italy can be.

But why the heck did they have to drag out Ricky Martin?!?

That hopeless moron has to be the worst live performer in the history of live performances! Not only does he have the intelligence of a dung beetle; in fact so dumb he can't even remember the words to his own songs (Doesn't even come close on the lip synchs); he even managed to record the lip-synched music out of tune!

I mean; there were some exellent performers there - Andreas Bocelli; and whoever that little dark-haired hottie was but really - Ricky Martin doesn't have any sort of connection to Italy; can't sing, looks like a spastic idiot on stage, has stupid songs, a bunch of bored dancers dressed like prostitutes and apparently only the vaguest idea of what he was supposed to be doing there. So why the blazes did they have to drag that squeaking idiot to Torino? Totally ruined the closing ceremonies, IMO.

Do you get the idea I'm not exactly a fan? ;D

The only shock was, Avril Lavigne looking hot :o I suppose miricals do happen. Cant wait for Vancouver 2010. But it was quite a nice ceremony, slightly weird in places. Not enough emphasis put on the athletes though.

Which German guy?

the german one...::)

found it. i was talking about the german guy who ran out during the IOC pres. speech. he grabbed the mic and said "passion lives in torino". it was torino's olympic slogan. he was advertising a german online gambling site. whatever.

also during the beginning, a nude woman tried to streak at the beginning, but her sattempt failed.

Even more puzzling, is that Ricky Martin hasn't been big since... erm... six years ago.  I mean, what the hell were they thinking?
